About the Role

Our client is a well-established multinational manufacturer specializing in high-performance construction materials, serving the building and infrastructure industries across the region. They're seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead manufacturing operations and drive operational excellence within a fast-paced production environment. This role is responsible for overseeing end-to-end production activities, ensuring output targets are achieved safely, efficiently, and in line with quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Production Operations

• Lead daily manufacturing activities to ensure production targets, delivery schedules, and customer requirements are consistently met.
• Plan and execute daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules while maximizing productivity and equipment utilization.
• Coordinate closely with the Supply Chain team to ensure timely availability of raw materials and smooth production flow.
• Prioritize production activities based on business and customer demands.

People Leadership

• Lead, coach, and develop supervisors, team leaders, and production operators.
• Plan manpower requirements and optimize workforce deployment across production lines.
• Foster a positive working culture through effective performance management, employee engagement, and team development.

Operational Excellence

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce waste, improve process efficiency, and optimize manufacturing costs.
• Monitor production performance and implement corrective actions to improve operational effectiveness.
• Maximize production capacity and ensure efficient utilization of manufacturing resources.

Quality, Safety & Compliance

• Ensure products consistently meet established quality standards and customer expectations.
• Promote a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with workplace safety regulations and company policies.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and operational discipline across the production floor.

Inventory & Equipment Management

• Oversee inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods to support uninterrupted production while minimizing excess inventory.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance and equipment servicing to maximize machine reliability and minimize downtime.

Cross-functional Collaboration & Reporting

• Work closely with Procurement, Supply Chain, Warehouse, Quality, and other internal stakeholders to ensure seamless operations.
• Prepare and present production reports, operational KPIs, and performance updates to senior management.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a Production or Manufacturing Management role within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of production planning, manufacturing operations, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience managing production KPIs, manpower planning, inventory control, and manufacturing costs.
• Familiarity with ERP/MRP or production planning systems will be an added advantage.
• Proven leadership experience with the ability to coach, develop, and inspire production teams.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and effectively manage competing priorities.
