Responsibilities
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teacher Aide (Teaching) to support students with visual impairment in an intervention setting. The TA will work closely with Teachers of the Visually Impaired (TVIs) to enhance students’ functional learning skills, promote independence, and support ongoing monitoring and follow-up.
This role is ideal for individuals passionate about inclusive education and interested in building a long-term career in the special education sector.
· Assist vision teachers in conducting intervention sessions forstudents with visual impairment
· Follow up with students under monitoring scheme via phone or digitalplatforms
· Escalate concerns and provide feedback to supervising teachers
· Maintain and update student databases and records
· Collaborate with vision teachersand multidisciplinary teams
· Assist in programme coordination and outreach activities
· Diploma (polytechnic) any discipline
· Relevant qualifications in psychology/education/social services are advantageous
· No experience needed, but prior experience in early intervention orworking with persons with disabilities is an advantage
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
· Patient, empathetic, and adaptable
· Basic IT skills (MS Office, data entry)
· Able to work occasional Saturdays
· Willing to commute across Singapore
· In-house training programme in visual impairment
