Job Description

Responsibilities

Job Summary

Investigate maritime claims by coordinating with shipping parties and surveyors, reviewing relevant documentation, and evaluating reports to provide accurate and timely advice to clients.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate maritime claims assigned by clients and resolve claim-related matters effectively
  • Coordinate and liaise with shipping parties, surveyors, and relevant stakeholders throughout the claim process to ensure smooth communication and claim progression
  • Request instructions and collect necessary documents required for thorough claim assessment and processing
  • Review and analyze survey reports, claim documents, and supporting information to provide informed and accurate advice to clients
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients and stakeholders through written and verbal communication to maintain transparency and trust
  • Apply analytical, numeracy, and literacy skills to evaluate data and documentation for precise claim assessment
  • Prepare detailed reports, correspondence, and presentations using MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to document findings and recommendations
  • Maintain accuracy and attention to detail when assessing claims and documentation to minimize errors and omissions
  • Manage multiple tasks independently while demonstrating initiative, adaptability, and a positive attitude to meet deadlines and changing priorities
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment and respond appropriately to shifting priorities to ensure timely claim resolution

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • ITE, Diploma, GCE A Level, or equivalent qualifications preferred
  • Prior working experience in logistics, freight forwarding, maritime law, shipping, or supply chain management preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills demonstrated through client and stakeholder interactions
  • Good organizational skills with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply
