Job Description – ATE Test Engineer

Employment Type

Experience Required

Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in Automated Test Equipment (ATE) testing within the semiconductor or electronics manufacturing industry.

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented ATE Test Engineer to support production testing, product validation, and yield improvement activities. The successful candidate will work closely with engineering and production teams to ensure the reliability, quality, and performance of semiconductor devices using Automated Test Equipment (ATE).

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, debug, and optimize ATE test programs for semiconductor devices.

  • Perform product characterization, qualification, and production testing.

  • Analyze test data, identify yield issues, and implement corrective actions.

  • Troubleshoot hardware and software-related test failures.

  • Support new product introduction (NPI) and production transfer activities.

  • Collaborate with Product, Process, and Manufacturing Engineers to improve test efficiency and product quality.

  • Conduct root cause analysis for test failures and implement preventive measures.

  • Maintain test documentation, engineering reports, and standard operating procedures.

  • Support engineering change orders (ECOs) and product improvement initiatives.

  • Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and company standards.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.

  • Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience with Automated Test Equipment (ATE).

  • Knowledge of semiconductor testing processes and manufacturing environments.

  • Experience in debugging ATE hardware and software issues.

  • Familiarity with electronic test instruments such as oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, logic analyzers, and power supplies.

  • Ability to analyze test results and troubleshoot production issues.

  • Basic understanding of statistical analysis and yield improvement methodologies.

  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Advantest, Teradyne, Eagle Test Systems, or similar ATE platforms.

  • Knowledge of semiconductor devices such as Analog, Mixed-Signal, RF, or Power ICs.

  • Familiarity with programming or scripting languages such as C/C++, Python, or Visual Basic is an advantage.

  • Knowledge of SPC, Six Sigma, or Lean Manufacturing principles is preferred.

Working Hours

  • Monday to Friday

  • 9AM-6PM
