Costing Accountant

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and update standard costing for materials, labour, and manufacturing overhead.
• Calculate product costs for new product introductions (NPI) and engineering change requests.
• Review Bills of Materials (BOM) and routing to ensure costing accuracy.
• Analyze manufacturing costs and recommend opportunities for cost reduction and productivity improvements.
• Prepare profitability and margin analysis for products and customers.
• Ensure accurate inventory valuation in accordance with accounting standards.
• Perform inventory reconciliation and support monthly stock closing.
• Coordinate annual physical stock counts and cycle counts.
• Monitor obsolete, slow-moving, and excess inventory provisions.
• Maintain accurate costing information within the ERP system.
• Support ERP enhancements related to costing and inventory modules.
• Improve costing processes, internal controls, and reporting efficiency.
• Participate in Lean Manufacturing, cost optimization, and continuous improvement projects.

Job Requirement:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
• Minimum 3–5 year Finances of costing or manufacturing accounting experience.
• Experience in an EMS, electronics, semiconductor, or medical device manufacturing environment is highly preferred.
• Experience with standard costing and inventory accounting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent numerical and financial analysis abilities.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.

Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM8,000.00 per month
