KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Full-Cycle Accounting
- Manage Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger, and bank reconciliations.
- Process invoices, payments, expenses, payroll journals, and other financial transactions.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS).
- Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and the company secretary during audits and statutory submissions.
2. Budgeting & Financial Planning
- Develop and maintain departmental and project budget templates using Microsoft Excel.
- Consolidate budget inputs and maintain rolling forecasts.
- Monitor budget performance and prepare variance reports.
- Build financial models and scenario analyses to support management decisions.
3. Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual Profit & Loss (P&L) reports.
- Analyse financial performance, revenue trends, costs, and profitability.
- Prepare management reports, financial dashboards, and variance analyses.
- Monitor project profitability, operating expenses, and gross margins.
4. Management Reporting
- Prepare monthly management reports, including P&L, balance sheet summaries, cash flow highlights, and KPIs.
- Develop clear financial presentations using Excel and PowerPoint.
- Present financial reports to senior management.
- Support preparation of board reports, investor presentations, and client financial reports where required.
5. Statutory Compliance & Taxation
- Prepare SST returns and coordinate annual corporate tax filings.
- Manage EPF, SOCSO, EIS, and HRDF submissions.
- Maintain proper financial documentation and ensure timely statutory compliance.
6. Cash Flow Management
- Prepare weekly and monthly cash flow forecasts.
- Monitor receivables, follow up on overdue payments, and maintain ageing reports.
- Manage vendor payments and reconcile all bank accounts.
REQUIREMENTS
Education
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
- ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent professional qualification (completed or in progress) is a strong advantage
- Candidates pursuing part-qualification with strong practical experience will also be considered
Experience
- 2 – 4 years of hands-on bookkeeping and accounting experience — full cycle, not just data entry
- Proven experience preparing P&L statements, management accounts, and financial reports
- Experience building budget templates and financial models in Excel — not just filling them in
- Exposure to a BPO, shared services, or multi-client billing environment is a strong advantage
- Experience presenting financials to senior management or business owners is preferred
Technical Skills — Required
- Advanced Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, financial modelling)
- Accounting software such as SQL Accounting, AutoCount, QuickBooks, or Xero
- Microsoft PowerPoint
- Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping and accrual accounting
- Knowledge of Malaysian statutory requirements (SST, EPF, SOCSO, EIS, HRDF)
Technical Skills — Preferred
- Power BI or Excel dashboards for financial reporting automation
- Experience with payroll systems — SQL Payroll, Kakitangan, or similar
- Familiarity with BPO billing structures — project-based, headcount-based, and per-transaction billing
- Basic understanding of cost allocation across multiple client accounts or cost centres

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
