Description of position

Senior Electrical Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining and repairing plant machinery and utility systems related to electrical, instrumentation and automation

Responsibilities

1) Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on electrical and instrumentation equipment, including but not limited to motors, control systems, sensors, transmitters, PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), and electrical circuits.

2) Diagnose electrical and instrumentation issues, analyze system problems, and identify faults using various diagnostic tools and techniques.

3) Calibrate instrumentation devices to ensure accurate measurements and readings, following established industry standards and procedures

4) Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment specifications, and inspection reports. Document any changes or modifications made to electrical and instrumentation systems

5) Respond to emergency situations, such as equipment failures, power outages, or process interruptions, to troubleshoot and rectify electrical and instrumentation issues promptly

6) Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians

Other

Possess Chargeman/Wireman certificate is an added advantage

Education requirement

Any training certificate related to Electrical/Instrumentation/Automation is an added advantage

Educations qualifications

Diploma in Electrical/Instrumentation/Control Engineering

Work / year experience requirement

5 years

Age

Maximum 35 years old

Language Knowledge

English, Bahasa Malaysia

PC Knowledge

Basic function in Microsoft Office, SAP

Position skills

Electrical/Instrumentation/Automation Troubleshooting, Maintenance

Pay: RM1,533.35 - RM4,930.24 per month
