Key Responsibilities
1. Tendering & Estimating
- Perform Take-off (measuring quantities) from M&E drawings (Single Line Diagrams, Piping Layouts, etc.).
- Source for quotations from suppliers and specialized sub-contractors (e.g., lift specialists, chiller manufacturers).
- Prepare and analyze costings for tenders, ensuring all technical specifications are covered.
2. Post-Contract Management
- Prepare Progress Claims and valuations of M&E work completed on-site.
- Evaluate and negotiate Variations (VOs)—specifically technical changes like rerouting ductwork or upgrading electrical boards.
- Monitor project cash flow and prepare monthly financial reports.
3. Procurement & Contract Admin
- Prepare sub-contract documents and work orders for M&E trades.
- Ensure compliance with ISO standards and safety regulations within the contract terms.
- Attend site meetings and coordinate with Project Managers to ensure site progress matches the billing.
Requirements : Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
- Experience: 2 - 5 years of experience specifically within M&E or MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) sectors.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and BIM/Revit (essential for modern M&E take-offs).
- Mastery of MS Excel for complex cost breakdowns.
- Knowledge of M&E materials and equipment (e.g., Switchgears, AHUs, Cooling Towers).
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to explain technical costs to non-technical clients.
- Mandarin speaker is added advantage
Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
