Job Title: Calibration Lab Assistant / General Support Technician

About the Role

We are a calibration company looking for a reliable, hands-on General Assistant to support our calibration technicians in day-to-day lab operations. This role is ideal for someone who is physically fit, detail-oriented, and comfortable with both light administrative tasks and heavier physical work such as moving and handling calibration standard weights.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist calibration technicians with routine, non-technical setup and support tasks
• Lift, carry, and position standard test weights (some weighing over 20 kg) safely and correctly
• Help prepare and organize equipment before and after calibration jobs
• Keep the lab and work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards
• Load/unload equipment and materials from vehicles when needed for on-site jobs
• Basic record-keeping or logging as instructed by technicians
• Follow safety procedures when handling precision instruments and standard weights
• Provide general labor support as needed by the calibration team

Requirements

• Physically fit and able to lift/move heavy items (up to 20 kg) repeatedly and safely
• Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions closely
• Basic reading/writing skills for simple logs and labels
• Willingness to learn proper handling procedures for calibration equipment
• Prior warehouse, logistics, or general labor experience is a plus (not required)
• No prior calibration experience necessary — full training provided
