Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of electrical systems for onshore oil and gas facilities, including power distribution, lighting, control systems, and instrumentation.
- Prepare detailed electrical drawings, schematics, and layouts, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications.
- Review and verify design calculations, electrical load analysis, and short-circuit studies for various electrical systems.
- Provide technical direction and mentorship to junior electrical engineers and design teams.
- Review and approve contractor/subcontractor electrical designs and drawings.
- Manage project timelines and ensure that electrical design work is completed on schedule and within budget.
- Liaise with clients, vendors, and contractors to resolve any design-related issues or challenges during the project.
- Ensure all electrical designs meet the required standards and comply with local codes, regulations (such as IEC, IEEE, NEC, PTS), and client specifications.
Qualifications::
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in electrical design engineering, specifically within the oil and gas industry.
- Broad experience in onshore projects, with a good focus on EPCC work.
- Proven experience in electrical design and engineering for power distribution, lighting, control systems, and instrumentation in oil & gas facilities (processing plants, refineries, upstream facilities, etc.).
- Expertise in electrical design software (e.g., ETAP, Dialux, AutoCAD Electrical, etc.).
