The Job:
The incumbent will responsible for contract management, site co-ordination with client and strong leadership to motivate team members/sub-contractors.
Assist the Project Manager in coordinating daily ELV project activities, including on-site inspections, on-site team check-ins, and task tracking, ensuring alignment with approved project timelines and milestones.
Support the preparation and distribution of daily/weekly project progress reports, log on-site issues, risks, and action items, and assist in resolving on-site bottlenecks (e.g., resource gaps, technical snags) under the guidance of the Assistant Project Manager.
Assist in managing project documentation (drawings, RFIs, submittals, test reports, as-built records), update the centralized project repository timely, and ensure compliance with company and client standards.
Liaise with on-site contractors, site technicians, and internal teams (design, procurement, QA/QC) to address day-to-day operational and technical queries, and support smooth workflow coordination.
Assist in conducting regular QA/QC checks for ELV system installation and testing, verify adherence to technical specifications, local building codes, and industry standards, and report non-compliance to the Assistant Project Manager.
Requirements:
Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related technical field; relevant ELV certification (e.g., BICSI, CIBSE) is a strong plus.
Minimum 2 years of experience in ELV project engineering, site engineering, or related roles, with hands-on experience in ELV systems (CCTV, access control, structured cabling, AV, BMS) installation and testing.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook); basic proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Asana) and ELV design software (e.g., AutoCAD) is preferred.
Good understanding of local ELV industry standards, building codes, and health & safety regulations for construction/built environment projects in Hong Kong.
Good vendor and stakeholder coordination skills, with the ability to communicate effectively, resolve basic conflicts, and build collaborative working relationships.
Strong organisational and time management skills; ability to prioritise tasks, follow instructions, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-project environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills (English is mandatory; Cantonese/Mandarin proficiency is a plus) with the ability to prepare clear technical documentation and report updates to the Assistant Project Manager.
Analytical and technical mindset with the ability to interpret technical specifications, identify technical issues, and propose practical solutions under guidance.
Self-motivated with a proactive approach; ability to work under supervision, follow project guidelines, and collaborate effectively as part of a cross-functional team.
Candidates with less experience will be considered as Project Engineer
