The Manager, Direct Tax is responsible for delivering high-quality direct tax compliance and advisory services, supporting the effective operation of the Direct Tax function.
The role combines technical delivery, client relationship management and team supervision,
ensuring work is completed accurately, efficiently and in line with regulatory requirements.
The role also supports the development of junior team members and contributes to
continuous improvement within the function.
What You’ll Do
- Deliver direct tax compliance and advisory services for a portfolio of clients
- Provide technical support on Hong Kong direct tax matters, particularly in relation to companies
and trusts
- Support business development activities through client interactions, proposals and service delivery
- Prepare and review tax computations, returns and related documentation
- Monitor and apply changes in tax legislation relevant to client work
- Contribute to maintaining strong client relationships through high-quality delivery
- Support process improvements to enhance efficiency and service quality
- Support client onboarding and implementation of tax processes
- Ensure all work is completed in line with regulatory requirements and internal
standards
What You Bring
- Experience in direct tax within a professional services or financial services environment
- Good technical knowledge of Hong Kong direct tax and indirect tax, particularly in relation to
companies and trusts
- Experience preparing and reviewing tax computations and returns
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience in supervising and supporting junior team members
