Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare cost estimates and Review Schedule of Rates and build up Star Rates.
- Compile six monthly cost information.
- Conduct site study and condition survey.
- Verify progress payments and final accounts.
- Evaluate and verify contractor’s final claim of final payment / VOs.
- Prepare variation orders including taking-off quantities and site measurements.
- Prepare and call term contracts tenders.
- Prepare and secure tenders for QS consultancy services.
- Other duties / special assignment as assigned from time to time.
- Possess qualifications from PSPC-recognized QS-related degrees in the discipline of Quantity Surveying, Building, Project & Facilities Management or other equivalent recognised qualifications
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant QS experience in construction, maintenance, A&A, or estate upgrading projects
- Candidates with more than 8 years of relevant experience and proven leadership capabilities may be considered for the QS
- Experience in public sector or town council projects will be an advantage
- Strong knowledge of contract administration and construction cost management
- Familiarity with standard forms of contracts, valuation of variations, and handling contractual disputes
- Good analytical, communication, and teamwork skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and QS software
- Able to work independently and manage multiple projects concurrently
- Membership with SISV or other relevant professional bodies will be an advantage
