Our client is seeking Audio Visual and Lighting Designers with knowledge of theatrical

installations, show control systems, multimedia and interactives.

The ideal candidates will oversee all show production design integration with themed environments within the amusements and tourism industry ensuring seamless integration of technology, content, and story driven guest experiences.

This role is a 1 year renewable contract position with our client. You will be also required to share your AVCL design schematics portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

• System Design & Planning: Lead the design documentation of comprehensive AV systems for themed attractions, including audio, video, lighting, SFX and control systems to create immersive guest experiences.
• Thematic Integration: Integrate all technical fixtures, where possible, into themed works to enhance guest experiences while disguising the technical delivery of immersive content. Understanding and ability to navigate 3D models (Navis Works) would be beneficial. To collaborate with creative teams to ensure all AV elements align with the project's theme and narrative.
• Video & Visuals: Design and integrate dynamic video displays, projections, and LED installations for storytelling and interactive elements. Media content by others.
• Control & Automation: Detail design of seamless integration and automation of all AV components, including the design development of custom control system user interfaces and ensuring flawless show control operation.
• Project Coordination: Work closely with Project Design Managers, Creative Directors, Project Managers, AV suppliers and other stakeholders to manage the AV scope design integration, ensuring that designs can be executed accurately and efficiently.
• Guest Experiences: To know and understand what the ultimate creative objectives are, within every scene of every project to ensure the technical design elements are captured correctly to deliver the creative intent successfully.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in theatre activations, AV system integration, exhibitions, museums, galleries, digital installations, interactive experiences, themed attractions or similar environments. 3D modelling (Navis Works)
• Knowledge of control systems, servers, networking, and interactive technologies.
• Familiarity with multimedia workflows (video, animation, interactive content, sensors, etc.).
• Strong ability to prepare and interpret AV block diagrams, line diagrams, logic diagrams, network schematics and system architecture documentation.
• Hands-on experience and/or intimate knowledge of AV equipment, control systems, network infrastructure, and multimedia playback systems.
• Strong ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams from design to construction.
• Good problem-solving ability, technical aptitude, and structured approach to troubleshooting.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
