Role Description The Executive – Strategic Development role is a full-time, on-site position based in Johor Bahru. The role involves supporting the development and execution of corporate and business strategies across PDT’s core pillars, including market analysis, feasibility assessments, and evaluation of new investment opportunities. The Senior Executive will prepare strategic proposals, business cases, and presentations for senior management and relevant stakeholders, ensuring alignment with state and national development agendas. Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring portfolio performance, identifying growth and optimisation opportunities, coordinating cross-functional projects with subsidiaries and external partners, and tracking key strategic initiatives and KPIs. The role also requires staying updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and sustainability priorities, and contributing insights to support green and high-impact development initiatives.


Qualifications

  • Strong strategic planning, business analysis, and project management skills, with the ability to translate data and insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis, investment evaluation, and risk assessment to support feasibility studies and business cases.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear reports, proposals, and presentations for senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships and work effectively with government agencies, private sector partners, and internal teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or a related field; a postgraduate qualification (e.g., MBA) is an advantage.
  • Relevant experience in strategic development, corporate planning, consulting, or investment-related roles, ideally within GLCs, infrastructure, energy, or property sectors.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with attention to detail and sound judgment in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Demonstrated interest in sustainability, green development initiatives, and public-sector or government-linked projects.
