Sime Darby Property Hiring! Full Time Manager, Main Infrastructure in Selangor - Ricebowl

Job Purpose

• Manage Main Infrastructure Unit under Department of Design, Quality & Solutions at SDP’s Headquarters in managing and monitoring all Main Infrastructure planning and implementation at all Business Units are as per the time frame, cost and quality objectives.
• Provide insightful and strategic input for Planning and Implementation of Main Infrastructure Works including initiative in Cost Reduction Initiative, review and updates SOP and other Main Infra related activities.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage the Main Infrastructure Unit, DQS as to meet department’s deliverables and objectives

Development Planning

• Identify potential main infrastructure related issues or difficulties of complying with requirement and recommended appropriate solutions.
• Work cohesively to ensure provision of land for main infrastructure works during planning stage (MCP / MLP) for all townships/integrated development

Development Implementation

• Working cohesively with Main Infra team at all Business Unit in managing and monitor the overall completion of main infrastructure works within contract value and to reduce the occurrence of variation orders entailing additional cost whilst ensuring quality products and timely completion

Development Monitoring

• Support the implementation of quality, health, safety and environment management system i.e. policies, activities, procedures, instructions where relevant as per SOP and ISO quality standard

Stakeholder Management

• Facilitate coordination and manage external parties (contractors, local authority) and internal parties to ensure smooth implementation of the main infrastructure works

Strategic Initiatives

• Support strategic initiatives that enhance design excellence, operational efficiency, infrastructure resilience and long-term asset value across the Group.
• Identify opportunities to improve project delivery through value engineering, standardization, process improvement.
• Monitor emerging industry trends, regulatory changes and engineering best practices, translating them into practical recommendations to strengthen the Group's competitive advantage.

People & Communication

• Plan and organize staffing requirement for Main infrastructure Unit.

Education/ Professional Qualification & Professional Experience

• Degree in Civil Engineering
• Minimum of 8 yrs relevant working experience in Property Development industry
