Position Title : Technical Product Manager (Sales / E-commerce)This is a hybrid role: one person owns both product decisions (deciding what to build) and hands-on implementation (writing the code to build it).
Reports to: Product Development (PD) department, dedicated full-time to the Sales team. Business and product results are reported to the CEO. Technical direction and code quality follow PD standards, led by the CTO.
Mission : Close the gap where our EC has not kept up with the scale of our sales. Move selling and retention away from manual work, and build them into the EC platform based on customer data, to raise customer LTV and per-customer contribution margin. (This role owns the company-wide 4% improvement goal for this year.)
Why this role mattersSECAI MARCHE is a B2B (business-to-business) EC platform specialized in fresh food and produce. We serve more than 2,500 HORECA buyers and continue to grow. However, upsell and cross-sell are entirely dependent on manual work by the sales team, and there is no recommendation or personalization built into the EC. In addition, our customer purchase data still has gaps in the fields and data we capture, and HubSpot is still at an early stage and needs many enhancements. Beyond upsell and cross-sell, we also need to capture retention data and take retention actions through the EC.
What you will do- Lead recommendation and personalization features on the EC, from planning through implementation
- Automate upsell and cross-sell (replacing today's manual work)
- Build retention data capture and retention actions into the EC
- Identify gaps in purchase data and CRM (HubSpot) and drive enhancements
- Establish measurement of results and a cycle of continuous improvement
- Work closely with the Sales and CS teams to translate customer needs and wants into features
- Continuously analyze LTV and per-customer contribution margin, and lead initiatives toward the 4% improvement
Must-have (business / product side)- Product development experience in EC / commerce, including implementing and operating recommendation, personalization, or targeting
- Experience designing initiatives from data, shipping them as features, and measuring results (a product-leading way of working)
- Experience collaborating with other teams such as Sales and CS to turn customer problems into features
- Hands-on experience building and improving a production system
- Comfortable working in English
Must-have (engineering side)- Strong SQL: able to write analytical queries (multi-table joins, aggregations, window functions) against a production database, and to use them to design and measure features
- Production experience on AWS (ECS, RDS, Lambda) and with infrastructure as code (we use AWS CDK; Terraform experience transfers)
- Experience building and operating a system made of multiple cooperating services: a web application plus asynchronous batch or queue processing and external API integrations, including debugging problems that cross service boundaries
- AI-driven development experience: productive from day one in a workflow where most code is written with AI coding tools (we use Claude Code)
Nice-to-have- Experience with B2B EC, or EC in the fresh food / produce space
- Experience in Southeast Asian markets, or multi-currency / multi-location environments
- Experience designing or integrating CRM (such as HubSpot)
- Experience with retention / LTV improvement initiatives
- Experience with Shopify (Liquid, theme or app development)
- Experience building BI / dashboards (such as Apache Superset)
Development environment (technical requirements)Our platform is a set of cooperating services, not a single codebase. The team is small, so you will regularly work across the whole stack, from application code to batch pipelines to infrastructure.
- EC / core system: our in-house application in PHP (CodeIgniter 3), backed by Amazon RDS. This is where most development happens, and where customer and order data lives
- Modernization direction: we are migrating from PHP to TypeScript step by step. New development moves to TypeScript, and this role helps lead the migration in its domain
- Data access: LTV, cohort, and margin analysis is done in SQL directly against the database, not only through an ORM. Expect to write non-trivial queries as part of normal feature work
- Cloud / infrastructure: AWS (ECS, RDS, Lambda) managed with AWS CDK, deployed across multiple regions (Malaysia, Singapore, Japan)
- Analytics: Apache Superset dashboards on production data; scheduled batch pipelines on Lambda
- Development style: AI-driven development (currently around 70 to 80 percent of our code is written via AI). We value Scrum and a clear Definition of Done.
