Role Description The Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) is a full-time, on-site role based in Melaka, responsible for overseeing workplace safety and health at semiconductor manufacturing and related facilities. The SSS supervises daily safety activities, conducts site inspections, and ensures compliance with relevant safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards. This role coordinates and delivers safety briefings and training, monitors the use of personal protective equipment, and maintains safety documentation and incident records. The SSS leads accident and near-miss investigations, recommends corrective and preventive actions, and collaborates with operations, engineering, and management teams to mitigate risks. The role also supports continuous improvement initiatives and promotes a proactive safety culture among all personnel on site.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong Health & Safety and Occupational Health knowledge, with practical experience implementing safety programs in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Candidates should possess Safety Training skills, including the ability to plan, deliver, and evaluate safety briefings, toolbox talks, and competency-based training sessions.
  • Candidates should possess Safety Engineering capabilities, such as hazard identification, risk assessment, and recommending engineering or administrative controls.
  • Candidates should possess Accident Investigation skills, including root cause analysis, incident reporting, and developing corrective and preventive action plans.
  • Candidates should ideally have familiarity with semiconductor or high-tech manufacturing operations, understanding of local regulatory requirements, and relevant safety certifications (e.g., OSHA, NEBOSH, or equivalent).
  • Candidates should demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Candidates should have a diploma or degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Must possess "Yellow Book" Registration issued by Department of Safety & Health (DOSH)
  • Ability to work on-site and customer sites from time to time travelling as per management request, conduct field inspections, and respond promptly to safety-related issues and emergencies.
