Role Description This is a full-time hybrid role for a Software Engineer / Developer based in Singapore River, with flexibility for some work-from-home arrangements. The Software Engineer / Developer will design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and back-end services that support TechOne’s platforms and incubated startups. Responsibilities include writing efficient, scalable code, implementing APIs, integrating databases, and ensuring system reliability and security. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, participating in code reviews, documenting technical solutions, and contributing to continuous improvement of development processes. The Software Engineer / Developer may also support prototype development and technical guidance for startup teams within the incubator.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Computer Science concepts, including data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.
• Proficiency in Software Development and Programming, with hands-on experience in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Java, C#, Python, JavaScript).
• Experience with Back-End Web Development, including RESTful APIs, server-side frameworks, and database integration.
• Solid understanding and practical application of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and design patterns.
• Working knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.
• Ability to analyze requirements, troubleshoot issues, and deliver high-quality, maintainable code within deadlines.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in multicultural and multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience with cloud platforms, containerization, or DevOps practices is an advantage.
• Interest in startups, innovation, and emerging technologies is highly desirable.
