Underwater World Langkawi is seeking a commercially minded Executive, Leasing and Retail to support the Manager, Retail and Leasing in growing retail, tenant and ancillary revenue across one of Langkawi’s established tourism attractions.

This role is suitable for someone who enjoys retail leasing, tenant coordination, merchandising, promotions and commercial follow-up, and who wants exposure to tourism, family entertainment, F&B, retail and visitor-spend opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

Support the Manager, Retail and Leasing in identifying, approaching and securing suitable tenants, retailers, kiosks, pop-up concepts and commercial partners.

Assist in managing the retail and leasing pipeline, including prospect lists, proposal follow-up, tenancy documentation, renewal tracking and internal approvals.

Coordinate with tenants and internal departments to ensure smooth onboarding, store set-up, licensing, operating requirements and promotional activities.

Monitor tenant performance, rental income, sales trends, occupancy, product mix and visitor-spend opportunities.

Assist in developing retail, merchandising and promotional ideas that improve visitor experience and increase commercial revenue.

Maintain strong working relationships with tenants, suppliers, partners and internal teams.

Prepare reports, leasing updates, tenant summaries, rental tracking and basic market comparisons for management review.

Support campaigns, seasonal promotions, events and retail activations within the attraction.

Ensure retail outlets, kiosks and tenant areas are presented professionally and comply with company standards.

Requirements

Diploma or degree in Business, Marketing, Retail Management, Property Management, Hospitality, Tourism or a related field.

Preferably 2 to 4 years’ experience in leasing, retail, mall management, property, tourism attractions, hospitality, F&B, events or commercial partnerships.

Good communication, negotiation and follow-up skills.

Able to deal confidently with tenants, retailers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Commercially alert, organised and comfortable working with sales targets, rental figures and basic reports.

Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.

Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Mandarin or other languages will be an advantage.

Pay: RM2,206.86 - RM5,500.00 per month
