Job Summary
Lead the University's public relations and corporate communications initiatives to enhance brand visibility, strengthen stakeholder relationships, and protect the University's reputation.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and execute public relations and corporate communication strategies aligned with the University's objectives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with media, government agencies, industry partners, and key stakeholders.
- Prepare and manage press releases, speeches, media statements, newsletters, annual reports, and other communication materials.
- Secure media coverage and coordinate media interviews, press conferences, and publicity events.
- Monitor media coverage and manage crisis communications to safeguard the University's reputation.
- Ensure consistent corporate messaging and brand identity across all communication channels.
- Plan and support corporate events, launches, conferences, ceremonies, and stakeholder engagement activities.
- Collaborate with the Marketing team on integrated branding and promotional campaigns.
- Lead, mentor, and manage the Public Relations team to achieve departmental objectives.
- Manage PR budgets, agency partnerships, vendors, and evaluate campaign performance.
- Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience in Public Relations, Corporate Communications, Media Relations, or Strategic Communications.
- Proven experience in developing PR strategies, media engagement, and reputation management.
- Strong network with media, government agencies, and industry stakeholders is an added advantage.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in crisis communication and corporate reputation management.
- Strong project management, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Experience in higher education is highly preferred; candidates from other industries with a strong PR portfolio are encouraged to apply.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: RM7,000.00 - RM9,000.00 per month
