Job Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-oriented Barista to join our café team at City University Malaysia's Cyberjaya campus. The ideal candidate is passionate about coffee, delivers excellent customer service, and creates a welcoming café experience for students, staff, and visitors.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks, in accordance with standard recipes and quality standards.
• Operate and maintain coffee machines, grinders, and other café equipment safely and efficiently.
• Contribute ideas for new beverages and seasonal menu offerings to keep the café menu fresh and on-trend.
• Deliver friendly, efficient, and professional customer service while handling customer enquiries and feedback.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards throughout the café, including workstations, equipment, and seating areas.
• Replenish ingredients, beverages, and café supplies to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Assist with inventory monitoring and report stock shortages or equipment maintenance requirements to the supervisor.
• Support café promotions, university events, and other operational activities as required.
• Comply with all health, safety, and food hygiene regulations.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Barista or in a café, food & beverage, or customer service environment is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and café equipment operation.
• Passion for coffee, customer service, and creating a positive customer experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Able to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays when required.

Qualifications

• SPM, Certificate, or Diploma in Hospitality, Food & Beverage, or a related field is an added advantage.
• Barista training or coffee certification is a plus but not mandatory.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresh graduate

Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
