Scimmtrol Semiconductor Technology (M) Hiring! Full Time Manufacture Engineering Manager in Pulau Pinang, Earn up to MYR 10,000 - Ricebowl

Key Responsibilities
1. Lead and manage the Engineering Department to ensure departmental objectives and KPIs are achieved.
2. Supervise and develop a team of engineers, programmers and engineering technicians through coaching, training and performance management.
3. Lead New Product Introduction (NPI) activities and ensure smooth transition from development to mass production.
4. Review and approve 2D/3D engineering drawings, technical specifications and engineering documentation.
5. Develop, optimize and standardize manufacturing processes to improve productivity, quality and cost efficiency.
6. Work closely with Production, Quality, Purchasing and Sales departments to resolve technical and manufacturing issues.
7. Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen and 5S activities.
8. Oversee tooling, jigs and fixtures design and improvements to support production efficiency.
9. Ensure engineering changes (ECN/ECO) are properly implemented and documented.
10. Investigate production issues, conduct root cause analysis and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
11. Monitor engineering project schedules and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
12. Support customer technical requirements and participate in technical discussions with customers and the China headquarters when required.
13. Ensure compliance with ISO standards, customer requirements and company engineering procedures.
14. Evaluate new manufacturing technologies, equipment and processes to improve operational performance.
15. Prepare engineering reports, budgets, manpower planning and departmental performance reviews.

Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5–10 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication, laser cutting, CNC machining, bending and welding processes.
- Able to read and interpret both 2D and 3D engineering drawings.- Familiar with CAD software (e.g. AutoCAD, SolidWorks or similar).
- Strong leadership, project management and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work across departments.
- Proficient in English and Mandarin is an added advantage for communication with the China headquarters.

Pay: RM8,000.00 - RM10,000.00 per month
