Responsibilities
Job Descriptions:
Application & Production Support: Provide L1/L2 support for core wealth management and trading systems, focusing on securities, futures, and stock options across web, desktop, and mobile channels.
Issue Resolution: Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve production system incidents. Conduct daily health checks and proactive monitoring to ensure system stability and global market availability.
Vendor & Team Collaboration: Act as the key liaison between business users, in-house developers, and external system vendors to gather user requirements, implement IT solutions, and manage system upgrades.
Testing & Deployment: Plan, execute, and document System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for system deployments, patches, and enhancements.
Technical Maintenance: Handle database operations including writing SQL queries for data extraction, data patching, troubleshooting workflows, and generating operational reports.
On-Call Support: Provide remote or phone support during non-office hours or public holidays on a rotation basis as needed;
Perform such other duties as shall from time to time be directed by the superiors.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
2 to 3 years of experience in IT application support. Background in investment banking, brokerage, or IT system vendors is highly preferred.
Solid understanding of equity/futures trading, settlement workflows, and HKEX/global market connectivity. Hands-on experience with wealth management or securities trading platforms is a strong advantage.
Proficiency in SQL and database querying (e.g., MS SQL, Oracle). Familiarity with the FIX protocol, job scheduling (e.g., Windows Task Scheduler), application monitoring, and issue-tracking tools. Basic scripting knowledge is a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and a proactive, multitasking team player capable of working independently under pressure.
Excellent written and spoken English and Cantonese; fluency in Mandarin is an advantage.
