Job Description

Responsibilities

The Associate Voyage Manager supports the delivery of efficient and commercially optimized post-fixture operations. The role works closely with customers, vessel Masters, agents, terminals, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective voyage execution while maintaining high service standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support assigned customers on post-fixture operational matters and provide timely operational updates.
  • Coordinate with vessel Masters, charterers, agents, terminals, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth voyage execution.
  • Conduct passage planning reviews, voyage routing assessments, ETA studies, voyage monitoring, and performance tracking.
  • Identify opportunities to improve vessel utilization, operational efficiency, and voyage performance.
  • Assist with agency appointments, port call planning, towage nominations, canal scheduling, and transit coordination.
  • Support bunker planning, bunker studies, and fuel consumption analysis.
  • Support freight and demurrage calculations, voyage performance reviews, and under-performance analysis.
  • Conduct FuelEU Maritime and EU ETS calculations and support regulatory compliance activities.
  • Support operational savings, cost optimization, revenue protection, and loss prevention initiatives.
  • Prepare customer reports and maintain accurate operational documentation.
  • Coordinate invoicing and voyage accounting requirements with relevant stakeholders.

What We Are Looking For

  • Degree in Maritime Studies, Shipping, Logistics, Nautical Science, or a related discipline.
  • 0–2 years of experience in shipping operations, vessel operations, voyage management, or related maritime roles.
  • Basic understanding of voyage management, bunker planning, freight and demurrage calculations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and maritime systems.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proactive and customer-focused mindset.
  • Previous sailing experience on LPG, LNG, or oil tankers will be an advantage.
