Job Description

Responsibilities

This Equipment Service Engineer will be responsible for installing, testing, and maintaining automation systems, troubleshooting and repairing electrical/electronic components, configuring software, and ensuring smooth communication with customers. They will handle support requests, coordinate with internal teams, and provide accurate service reports.

Job Responsibilities

  • Automation system installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance.
  • Setup electronics controllers, PC, and install software.
  • Perform onsite machine buy-off as per agreed customer requirements
  • Analyze equipment failures and identify root causes to effectively repair equipment failures.
  • Able to analyze electrical/electronic circuit, read machine logfiles to identify root cause for the problem
  • Able to repair electrical components, setup robot software, PC software.
  • Establish a seamless interface between customers and Getech.
  • Demonstrate high integrity and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Spearhead customer issues and coordinate with internal departments and customer stakeholders to resolve them efficiently. Escalate to management if necessary.
  • Respond to phone support and onsite support requests in accordance with SLA.
  • Prepare and present accurate, detailed service reports in a timely manner.

Job Requirement:

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Computer Engineering or equivalent
  • 3 years or more of experience in automation systems setup or service support
  • Proficiency in electrical components such as servo motors and robots
  • Proficiency in installing software, configuration and setting up PCs and machines
  • Ability to read equipment log files and process flows to debug machine breakdowns
  • Strong problem-solving skills, both analytical and technical
  • Effective listening, verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Willingness to learn new technologies on a regular basis
  • Good time management skills, including the ability to perform multiple tasks and prioritise assigned tasks
  • Willingness to travel for overseas assignments on short notice.
