Qualifications

• Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 1–3 years of working experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing or chemical plant environment.
• Knowledge of mechanical equipment such as pumps, valves, gearboxes, piping systems, and rotating equipment.
• Able to use mechanical hand tools, measuring instruments, and workshop equipment.
• Knowledge of safe work practices, including Permit to Work (PTW) and Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO), is an advantage.
• Able to communicate in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Job Description

• Carry out preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance on plant machinery, mechanical equipment, and facilities.
• Assist in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical equipment failures and carry out the necessary repair works.
• Install, dismantle, repair, assemble, and replace mechanical equipment and components, including pumps, valves, gearboxes, bearings, seals, and piping systems.
• Inspect plant equipment regularly and report any defects, abnormalities, or maintenance requirements to the immediate superior.
• Ensure all workshop tools, equipment, and maintenance instruments are properly maintained, calibrated (where applicable), and kept in good working condition.
• Maintain the cleanliness, organisation, and housekeeping of the workshop and ensure all tools are stored in their designated locations.
• Assist in plant shutdowns, equipment overhauls, installation, and commissioning works as assigned.
• Comply with the Company's Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) policies, including Permit to Work (PTW), Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO), and safe work procedures.
• Work closely with the Maintenance team, Production team, and external contractors to ensure maintenance activities are completed safely and efficiently.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Maintenance Manager, Assistant Maintenance Manager, or Management from time to time.

Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM1,900.00 per month
