We have an Immediate Opening Digital Forensic & Incident Response Analyst (Level 2) with our reputed Client.

Job Purposes

This role is responsible for conducting deep-dive investigations into security alerts escalated from Level 1, determining the scope and nature of threats, and leading the tactical response to contain and mitigate cyber security incidents. In addition, are involved with enhancing threat detections, conducting compromise assessments and threat hunting. This role requires a high degree of technical expertise, analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with other IT and security teams.

Job Responsibilities

· Perform in-depth analysis of escalated security alerts using various tools (SIEM, EDR, network monitoring, etc.) to confirm if an actual security incident has occurred and to complete the cyber incident root cause analysis.

· Analyze Indicators of Compromise (IOCs), threat intelligence, and attack patterns to understand the scope and impact of an attack.

· Create and update detection rules, on the various applicable security tools, to facilitate early threat detection.

· Design and implement strategies to contain, mitigate, and eradicate threats from the environment, coordinating with other teams (IT, network, etc.) as needed.

· Provide feedback to Level 1 analysts and contribute to the enhancement of security monitoring rules, detection capabilities, and incident response playbooks to reduce false positives and improve overall efficiency.

· Perform basic to intermediate malware analysis and host/network forensic analysis to gather evidence and understand threat behavior.

· Assist or participate in proactive threat hunting activities to identify potential threats that have gone undetected by automated systems.

· Liaise with other internal and external teams (e.g., IT operations, management, third-party vendors, L3 threat hunters) when incidents require specialized expertise or have significant business consequences.

· Testing readiness of the organization's ability to detect security incidents, respond to them appropriately, and minimize their impact through simulated cyberattacks.

Job Requirements

· Degree in IT or a related discipline such as: Computer Science (Strongest foundation for automation/scripting). Cybersecurity or Information Assurance. Digital Forensics. Network Engineering.

· Information Security Threat Monitoring & Response Org Structure.

· Perform timely in-depth analysis of escalated security alerts.

· Proactive threat hunting.

· Demonstration of mastery in the use of a variety of security tools, to perform analysis and threat hunting.

· High availability and responsiveness.

· Ability to work independently and provide the deliverables listed above with high quality and on time.
