POSITION : Senior Engineer, Cost Estimation

REPORTING TO : Head of Greenfield Development Planning Section

DIVISION/DEPARTMENT : PLS / PGF / PGF/GF

LOCATION : KL Office

1. Key Objectives

Essential Requirement:
Cost Estimation: Develop accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for Conceptual/Pre-FEED/FEED projects by analyzing project specifications, scope, and engineering information.

Review the Pre-FEED/FEED cost estimation from contractors and consolidate for overall project costs.

Risk Assessment: Identify and assess cost-related risks and propose mitigation strategies to ensure cost predictability.

Prepare and present cost reports and analysis to project teams and management, JVPs and PETRONAS.

Benchmarking: Stay updated on industry cost trends, benchmarks, and best practices to ensure competitiveness.

3. Key Authorities
As provided/assigned by Head of Greenfield Development Planning.

4. Working Relationship
Malaysia Exploration, Greenfield and Lang Lebah Department and Greenfield Engineering & Construction Department.
Petronas, Petronas Carigali and relevant Joint Venture Partners (i.e. KUFPEC, MOECO, etc.)
Other authoritative bodies.
Other potential customers and partners.
5. Qualifications and Experience

Mandatory

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in the upstream Oil & Gas industry.

Experience with cost estimation for Conceptual, Pre-FEED and FEED.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
University degree (or similar qualification) in Engineering.
Fluent in oral & written English.

Desirable
Familiarity with the Malaysian upstream oil & gas industry.
Experience with major oil and gas projects.
Experience with joint-venture management.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
