About the Role

We are looking for a Junior Interior Designer who is strong in drawings, detailing and 3D visualisation.

You will support the senior design team in turning approved concepts into clear, accurate and buildable design documents.

This role is suitable for someone who enjoys technical work, wants to improve quickly and is willing to learn from real residential and commercial projects.

You do not need to know everything from day one, but you should be responsible, careful and willing to take feedback.

Responsibilities

• Support senior designers in developing interior design projects
• Prepare layout plans, furniture plans, ceiling plans, lighting plans and elevation drawings
• Produce detailed technical and construction drawings
• Prepare carpentry, built-in furniture and interior detailing drawings
• Create 3D models, perspectives and rendered visuals
• Make amendments based on senior designer and client feedback
• Assist with material, colour, furniture and fixture selections
• Prepare presentation boards and design documents
• Organise drawings, specifications and project files
• Attend site measurements and site visits when required
• Coordinate drawing information with the design and project teams
• Check drawings for accuracy and consistency before submission
• Support the team in meeting project deadlines

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture or a related field
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply
• Up to 3 years of relevant experience is an advantage
• Proficient in AutoCAD
• Able to use SketchUp or similar 3D-modelling software
• Experience with 3ds Max, Enscape, V-Ray, Lumion or similar software is an advantage
• Basic understanding of technical and detailed drawings
• Good sense of scale, proportion, materials and space
• Careful and detail-oriented
• Willing to learn and accept feedback
• Able to manage deadlines and multiple revisions
• Responsible and able to work as part of a team
• Good command of English
• Ability to communicate in Mandarin, Cantonese or Bahasa Malaysia is an advantage
