Role Description The AO/A1 Chargeman is a full-time, on-site role based in Kuala Lumpur, responsible for overseeing electrical installation, operation, and maintenance activities in accordance with relevant regulations and safety standards. This role involves monitoring heavy equipment and electrical systems, performing routine inspections, and coordinating repairs to minimize downtime. The Chargeman will supervise on-site technicians and maintenance personnel, ensuring that work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company procedures. Daily tasks include reporting equipment status, documenting maintenance records, supporting minor facility works such as carpentry-related tasks when required, and collaborating with project teams to ensure smooth operational support. The role requires close communication with management, contractors, and clients to address technical issues and maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong supervisory skills with experience leading maintenance or technical teams.
• Candidates should possess hands-on experience with heavy equipment and electrical systems relevant to AO/A1 Chargeman responsibilities.
• Candidates should possess effective communication skills for coordinating with internal teams, contractors, and clients.
• Candidates should possess basic carpentry and general maintenance skills for facility support and minor repair works.
• Valid AO/A1 Chargeman certification/license from the relevant authority, with knowledge of local electrical regulations and safety standards.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to interpret technical drawings, and familiarity with preventive maintenance practices.
• Ability to work on-site in Kuala Lumpur, respond to emergencies, and perform shift or weekend duties if required.
• Relevant technical diploma or vocational qualification in electrical engineering or a related field is preferred.
