Hiring: Purchasing Specialist | Penang, Malaysia

We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Purchasing Specialist to join our team in Bayan Lepas, Penang, Malaysia.

Location: Bayan Lepas, Penang, Malaysia

Work Mode: Fully Onsite

Contract Duration: 1-Year Contract (Extendable)

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop a high-level understanding of Foundry, OSAT, ODM, and Substrate Commodity Management operations.

• Support Commodity Managers in procurement and commodity-related activities.

• Issue Purchase Orders (POs) to suppliers through electronic inventory management systems.

• Coordinate with the Accounts Payable team to ensure timely and accurate supplier payments.

• Execute procurement operations activities and support sourcing initiatives.

• Assist Commodity Managers and Sourcing Managers with Foundry and Substrate-related tasks.

Requirements:

• Minimum qualification: College Diploma.

• 1–3 years of experience in Supply Chain, Planning, Procurement, Commodity Management, Purchasing, or Buyer roles.

• Business-fluent communication skills in English (spoken and written).

• Experience with Oracle and ERP systems is preferred.

• Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.

• Ability to resolve challenges, identify opportunities, and make sound business decisions.

• Strategic mindset with an understanding of market and industry dynamics.
