Responsibilities

Position Summary:

Join SGX Group as a Senior Associate, Financial Reporting, and play a pivotal role in our Finance & Corporate Development team. Based in Singapore, you will be responsible for preparing consolidated financial statements for SGX Group and its subsidiaries, ensuring compliance with IFRS and SGX reporting standards. You’ll support quarterly and annual SGXNet announcements, liaise with external auditors, and contribute to the enhancement of financial reporting systems and processes.


In this role, you’ll also handle regulatory and management reporting, including MAS reports, tax filings, and monthly management reports with detailed variance analysis. You’ll drive process automation initiatives to optimize efficiency within the finance function.


Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting

  • Support the preparation of consolidated financial statements for SGX Group and its subsidiaries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with IFRS/SFRS(I) and SGX reporting requirements.
  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual deliverables, including AC/Board materials, SGXNet announcements, and Annual Reports.
  • Liaise with external auditors on audit deliverables, supporting timely and efficient completion of year-end audit.
  • Contribute to the continuous enhancement of group financial reporting processes and systems.
  • Perform monthly variance analysis on SGX Group’s financials.

Regulatory Reporting & Capital Management

  • Assist in the preparation of MAS returns and other regulatory surveys.
  • Assist in the monitoring of capital adequacy in regulated subsidiaries and other regulatory reporting tasks.
  • Assist in the annual regulatory capital planning exercise.

Process Improvement & Automation

  • Be able to identify and implement process improvements across financial reporting and related processes to enhance efficiency and controls.
  • Support automation initiatives within the finance function.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in accounting or finance. Experience in financial institutions or listed companies preferred.
  • Prior Big 4 audit experience or Chartered Accountant (CA, ACCA, CPA) qualification is an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of IFRS/SFRS(I) and regulatory capital requirements.
  • Keen interest in process re-engineering and automation related work.
  • Strong analytical, time management and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive and curious.
