Manager – PPA Origination & Transactions

Location: Singapore

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly commercial and market-facing professional to lead PPA origination, and commercial negotiations for renewable energy and BESS projects across Europe and South East Asia, including Spain, Italy, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Germany, Vietnam and the Philippines.

This role will focus on originating and executing Corporate PPAs, utility PPAs, tolling agreements and other route-to-market arrangements, while supporting project financing, commercialization strategy and selected asset monetization processes.

The successful candidate is expected to work closely with local country teams, utilities, traders, corporates, investors and financial institutions to drive commercial outcomes and enhance project bankability and exit positioning.

Key Responsibilities

1. PPA Origination & Commercial Development

• Lead the origination, negotiation and execution of Corporate PPAs, Utility PPAs, Tolling agreements, Route-to-market arrangements for utility-scale renewable and BESS projects in Europe and SEA.
• Build and maintain relationships with Utilities, Energy traders, Corporate offtakers, Aggregators, and Route-to-market providers
• Identify commercial opportunities and support market entry strategies.

2. Commercial Structuring & Transaction Execution

• Lead negotiations of key commercial terms, including: pricing structures, settlement mechanisms, curtailment allocation, imbalance treatment, credit support, bankability considerations, etc
• Coordinate with development, financing, legal and local country teams to drive transactions toward execution and financial close
• Support lender engagement and project financing processes from a commercial and revenue-contract perspective

3. Asset Commercialization & Strategic Transactions Support

• Support selected project monetization and strategic divestment processes
• Contribute to project commercialization strategy, including: contracted revenue positioning, merchant strategy, route-to-market optimization, and investor positioning.
• Participate in selected investor discussions and strategic transaction processes

Requirements

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in PPA origination, renewable energy commercial activities, IPP commercial or trading functions
• Direct experience negotiating and executing commercial PPAs/tolling agreements
• Experience in project finance is highly preferred
• Experience in European power markets (particularly Italy, Spain and Poland) is highly preferred, as the role supports project activities in European countries
• LATAM market exposure is a plus, as the role supports project activities in Chile and Colombia

Commercial & Analytical Capability

• Strong commercial negotiation and stakeholder management capability
• Solid understanding of renewable and BESS revenue models, merchant exposure, route-to-market structures, and project bankability
• Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders across different geographies

• Highly commercial, proactive and execution-oriented
• Comfortable being front-facing with counterparties and investors
• Strong ownership mindset and ability to independently drive transactions
• International mindset with strong cross-cultural communication skills
• Fluent in English; additional European language skills are advantageous as the role involves direct negotiations with off-takers and grid operators in European countries where local language capability facilitates commercial discussions.
• Proficiency in Mandarin is also advantageous as the role may involve coordination with China-based partners or financial institutions.
