Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Halal Officer to ensure that the company's manufacturing processes, raw materials, and finished products comply with the requirements of the Malaysia Halal Certification Scheme.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage new applications, renewals, and maintenance of Malaysia Halal Certification.
- Develop, implement, and maintain the Internal Halal Control System (IHCS) / Halal Assurance System (HAS).
- Conduct internal halal audits and ensure corrective actions are effectively implemented.
- Verify the halal status of raw materials, suppliers, and packaging materials.
- Ensure production processes comply with Halal requirements, GMP, HACCP, and MESTI standards.
- Basic understanding of HACCP and food safety management systems.
- Prepare, review, and maintain halal documentation and records.
- Review product labels to ensure compliance with Malaysian Food Labelling Regulations and halal logo requirements.
- Conduct halal awareness training for employees.
- Liaise with JAKIM, JAIN, certification bodies, and relevant authorities.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Management. Job Requirements Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Halal Management, Food Science, Food Technology, Biotechnology, Microbiology, or a related field.
- Certified Halal Executive (HPB/JAKIM) will be an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 1–3 years of working experience in Halal Management or the food manufacturing industry.
- Experience in managing Malaysia Halal Certification is preferred. Knowledge & Skills
- Good knowledge of Malaysia Halal Certification requirements, Halal Assurance System (HAS), GMP, HACCP, and MESTI.
- Experience in halal auditing and documentation management.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Able to work independently as well as in a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Pay: RM2,800.00 - RM3,800.00 per hour
