Personal Wealth Manager

As a Personal Wealth Planner, you will provide our customers a differentiated needs-based financial planning experience that aims to truly understand their aspirations and provide bespoke, professional advice and solutions in their best interests.

There will be delivered through a tablet-enabled Financial Planning Tool that provides needs-driven advisory, enabling both deep and shallow planning at outset, in clear contrast with agency product-driven approach. You will also be interacting with customers through an “always on’ (e.g. WeChat-based) customer experience, which optimizes the human and digital engagement. Warm leads may also be provided through direct customer relationships from other parts of the business, or through corporate partnerships and worksite marketing.

Being a mobile distribution channel, you will be able to meet with customers whenever and wherever needed. You will also be stewards for their financial health, and a gateway to the business’ wider health and wellness ecosystem supporting the customers’ physical and mental well-being.

In this role you will:

The key tasks for the Personal Wealth Planner role will include some or all of the following:

• Identify and capture investment & insurance (I&I) business opportunities leveraging financial planning methodology to ensure fair outcomes for all types of customers, esp. high-end customers.

• Engage end to end I&I service including customer needs identification, solution recommendations, application fulfillment, and timely follow up

• Provide expertise advice on appropriate I&I solutions to meet the family protection, education, retirement and legacy planning needs.

• Delivering against demanding performance expectations across customer engagement, financial planning and other business KPIs.

• Extend new individual portfolio through positive customer-based acquisition.

• Manage individual portfolio to ensure the highest rate of customer satisfaction and persistency through post-sales and ongoing customer engagement.

• Build and maintain a positive team culture, being a role model to help team members in each perspective, like customer acquisition, customer engagement, quality control etc.

• Ensure self and team activities comply with relevant legal and regulatory requirements and meets HSBC standards and procedures.

The chosen candidate for this role will be required to undergo enhanced vetting. Subject to local laws, this will require the individual to satisfactorily pass a series of additional checks as part of the recruitment process and on an ongoing basis, if appointed to the role.
