Job Description

Responsibilities

Responsible for managing the end-to-end crew management process, including the recruitment, deployment, scheduling, and coordination of seafarers for assigned vessels. Ensures that all crewing activities comply with applicable maritime regulations, company policies, and client requirements. Maintains crew records and certifications, coordinates crew changes, monitors contract periods, and works closely with vessel management, manning agencies, and regulatory authorities.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Manage crew recruitment, deployment, and scheduling for assigned vessels.
  • Prepare crew planning schedules and coordinate crew changes and travel arrangements.
  • Ensure compliance with maritime regulations, company policies, and client requirements.
  • Verify and maintain crew certifications, licenses, contracts, and personnel records.
  • Liaise with vessel management, manning agencies, and relevant authorities on crewing matters.
  • Obtain approval for new crew engagement from Management and update crew information.
  • Conduct pre-joining briefings for newly recruited and existing crew members.
  • Arrange crew training and coordinate the renewal and upgrading of officers' Certificates of Competency (CoC).
  • Prepare monthly crew payroll and process claims for crew travel and training expenses.
  • Coordinate vessel’s provisions.
  • Prepare monthly crewing reports for Superior and Management
  • Assist the Crewing Assistant Manager with crewing operations and departmental activities.
  • Serve as a member of the Shore-Based Emergency Response Team (ERT)
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the COO and Top Management
  • Coordinate and prepare all the required documentation to ensure readiness for TMSA and DOC audit

Required qualifications:

· Diploma in Maritime Management, Human Resource Management, or a related field.

· Minimum 5 years of experience in a crewing role within the offshore maritime industry.

· Experience in recruiting tanker vessel crew, particularly for the oil and gas sector.

· Understanding of tanker vessel operations and related training requirements.

· Working knowledge of international maritime regulations, including STCW, MLC, and Flag State requirements (Malaysia and Singapore preferred).

· Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
