Role Summary

The Construction Project Engineer will be the central figure in planning, executing, and finalizing construction projects, ensuring strict adherence to schedule, budget, safety, and quality standards while leading effective communication among all parties.

Role Description

As a Construction Project Engineer, you will:

Plan, coordinate, and manage construction projects from commencement to completion.

Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.

Coordinate with architects, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients throughout the project lifecycle.

Review construction drawings, technical specifications, project plans, and contract documents to ensure compliance with project requirements.

Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions to keep projects on schedule and within budget.

Ensure compliance with building codes, Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) regulations, and environmental requirements.

Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to project specifications.

Provide technical support and guidance to project team members.

Identify, assess, and manage project risks while driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Resolve technical and site-related issues promptly to minimize project delays.

Ensure quality control and quality assurance throughout all phases of the project.

Prepare project reports, progress updates, and other documentation for management and clients.

Communicate project status effectively to stakeholders and senior management.

Lead project meetings and facilitate effective communication among all project stakeholders.

Qualifications

Diploma or Degree in Engineering (Civil, Structural, or related field).

Proven experience in construction project management.

Strong understanding of construction processes, building codes, and regulations.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel, for project tracking, cost control, scheduling, reporting, and data analysis

Proficiency in project management software and tools.

Knowledge of AutoCAD is an advantage
