NES Fircroft Hiring! Full Time Cost Engineer in Federal Territory - Ricebowl

Client is a DataCenter looking for a Cost Engineer (mandarin speaker) to be based out of Kuala Lumpur or Johor Baru.

Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed cost estimates for direct supply items (MEP)
• Benchmark costs against industry standards, historical data, and market intelligence.
• Support value engineering exercises by comparing alternative designs/materials.
• Work with procurement to validate supplier quotations and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Prepare cost breakdowns for management approval and board presentations.
• Track actual vs estimated costs and provide variance analysis.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or Construction Management.
• 5+ years in MEP costing or installation costing for data centres, industrial plants, or large-scale infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of data centre MEP systems (electrical, cooling, fire protection, BMS).
• Proficiency in cost estimation software and Excel.
• Able to speak Mandarin
