Job Description

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Assistant Director/Deputy Director, you will assist in managing the NTUC accounts and its related Funds. This includes reviewing financial policies and procedures, conducting variance analysis, and preparing management reports.

Details of responsibilities include:

  • Prepare financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis
  • Ensure timely and accurate month-end closing and financial reporting
  • Prepare project utilisation reports and fund drawdowns for programmes and activities funded by Government
  • Prepare and monitor cash flows
  • Perform hands-on operational finance tasks
  • Participate in system planning and user acceptance testing (UAT)
  • Prepare and submit required forms to government authorities
  • Review staff claims and transport reimbursements
  • Review financial procedures and policies relating to billing, payments, and other finance processes, identifying improvements while balancing efficiency with internal controls
  • Liaise with colleagues from other departments on all finance-related matters
  • Prepare tax-exempt receipts for funds receiving contributions and donations
  • Prepare tax computations and submit tax returns
  • Liaise with external and internal auditors on all financial matters
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by the Director, Finance


Job Requirements:

  • Degree in Accountancy or equivalent; Chartered Accountant qualification preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience, preferably with exposure to audit or finance process improvement.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office; proficiency in SAP S/4 HANA preferred.
  • Good understanding of Financial Reporting Standards and other statutory requirements.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with management and staff at all levels.
  • Committed, diligent, and meticulous.
