Position : Equipment Technician – Micron Sdn Bhd, Batu Kawan
The Equipment Technician role is a contract, on-site position at Micron Sdn Bhd, Batu Kawan under Sophic Automation.
Employment Details
1-year contract under Sophic Automation
Contract renewal based on performance
Work location: Micron Sdn Bhd, Batu Kawan
Starting salary: RM2,500 – RM3,200 (excluding shift allowance)
2 Shift rotation + shift allowance provided
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and equipment-related issues.
- Support equipment installation, setup, calibration, and improvement activities.
- Inspect equipment condition and ensure safe & reliable operation.
- Monitor equipment performance and reduce machine downtime.
- Document maintenance activities and report equipment issues.
- Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and production teams.
- Follow safety procedures and quality standards.
Requirements
Entry-level & mid-level candidates are welcome
Candidates with 1 year or more relevant experience are encouraged to apply
Fresh graduates with 6 months internship experience are also welcome
Qualification:
- SKM / Diploma in:
- Mechanical Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Electronic Engineering
- Mechatronics
- Related technical fields
Preferred skills:
- Equipment Maintenance
- Preventive Maintenance
- Troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and drawings
- Experience in manufacturing or automation environment is an advantage
