Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Surgical Nurse role based at Dr Natasha Lim Eye Centre's MOH licensed Ambulatory Day Surgery Centre in Royal Square Novena, Singapore. The Surgical Nurse will support ophthalmic surgeons in operating rooms, including preparing surgical suites, instruments, and supplies, and ensuring adherence to infection control protocols. Responsibilities include pre-operative assessment, patient preparation, intra-operative assistance, and post-operative monitoring and education. The role involves coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, maintaining accurate documentation, and supporting safe, efficient surgical workflows. The Surgical Nurse will also participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to delivering patient-centered eye care.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Operating Room and Surgery skills, including instrument handling, aseptic technique, and familiarity with ophthalmic procedures.
• Candidates should possess solid Nursing and Patient Care skills, with a focus on pre- and post-operative care, patient education, and clinical observation.
• Fresh graduates are welcomed to apply as operating theater training will be provided.
• Valid SNB license
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities, attention to detail, and commitment to safety and infection control standards.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment and adapt to new technologies and surgical techniques.
