Role Description This is an on-site Finance & Tax Intern role based in Petaling Jaya. The intern will assist with day-to-day accounting and tax-related tasks, including preparing and organizing financial documents, supporting tax computations and filings, and helping with bookkeeping and reconciliations. The role involves conducting basic financial and tax research, compiling data for reports, and supporting advisory engagements under the guidance of senior team members. The intern will collaborate with consultants on client deliverables, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and firm standards. This internship offers hands-on experience in professional services and the opportunity to learn best practices in tax, accounting, and financial consulting.

Qualifications

• Foundational knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and basic tax concepts, supported by ongoing studies in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related discipline.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to interpret financial data, identify discrepancies, and apply logical problem-solving approaches.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (especially Excel and Word), and comfort working with accounting or tax software; willingness to learn new digital tools.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear documentation, collaborate with team members, and interact professionally with clients.
• High level of integrity, attention to detail, and commitment to confidentiality in handling sensitive financial and client information.
• Ability to work on-site in Petaling Jaya, manage multiple tasks, and adapt in a fast-paced consulting environment; strong self-motivation and eagerness to learn.
• Relevant internship or project experience in accounting, tax, or finance is an advantage; interest in ESG, advisory, or corporate coaching is beneficial.
