Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Sales Manager role based in Kuala Lumpur. The Sales Manager will oversee daily sales activities, including identifying new business opportunities, managing key accounts, and maintaining relationships with corporate clients, travel agencies, and event planners. The role involves preparing and delivering sales presentations, negotiating contracts and rates, and collaborating with the reservations and operations teams to ensure a seamless guest experience. The Sales Manager will analyze market trends, prepare sales reports and forecasts, and contribute to sales strategies and promotional activities. This position also includes mentoring sales staff, setting performance targets, and participating in networking events and trade shows to expand the hotel’s market presence.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in hotel or hospitality sales, with a strong track record of achieving revenue targets and managing key accounts.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships.
  • Solid understanding of sales planning, pipeline management, and market analysis, including preparing reports and forecasting revenue.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and to lead, coach, and motivate sales colleagues.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and standard office software; comfort with using digital tools for reporting and client communication.
  • Fluency in English; additional language skills relevant to the local and regional market are an advantage.
  • Relevant education in Business, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field; equivalent professional experience will be considered.
  • Strong customer-service orientation, professional demeanor, and willingness to work flexible hours when required (e.g., client meetings, events).
