Role Description The Operator role at STMicroelectronics is a full-time, on-site position based in Singapore. The Operator is responsible for running and monitoring semiconductor manufacturing equipment, ensuring production processes follow established procedures, safety standards, and quality guidelines. Daily tasks include loading and unloading materials, performing basic equipment checks, recording production data, and reporting any abnormalities or equipment issues. The role also involves working closely with supervisors and team members to meet production targets, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and maintaining a clean and organized work area. Operators may be required to work in a cleanroom environment and follow shift schedules to support 24/7 operations.
Qualifications
  • Ability to follow standard operating procedures, safety guidelines, and quality requirements in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Basic technical aptitude for operating machinery, performing simple equipment checks, and handling manufacturing tools or materials.
  • Strong attention to detail, reliability, and commitment to maintaining accurate production records and documentation.
  • Effective teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and peers on the production floor.
  • Willingness to work in cleanroom conditions, adhere to hygiene and gowning protocols, and perform physically repetitive tasks.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, or public holidays as needed to support continuous operations.
  • Secondary school education or vocational/technical certification in a relevant field; prior experience in semiconductor or electronics manufacturing is an advantage.
  • Basic computer literacy for using production systems, data entry, and reading digital work instructions.
