Job Responsibilities

  • Perform daily inspection, operation checks, maintenance, and repair of production machinery and manufacturing equipment to ensure safe, stable, and efficient operation.
  • Carry out preventive maintenance (PM), corrective maintenance, and basic troubleshooting for production machines and related equipment.
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and basic automation-related equipment faults and support timely repair to minimize production downtime.
  • Respond promptly to machine breakdowns and work closely with Production and Engineering teams to restore equipment operation.
  • Assist in the installation, setup, relocation, modification, testing, and commissioning of new production machinery and equipment.
  • Perform routine checks on machine components, motors, sensors, pneumatic systems, mechanical parts, safety devices, and other related equipment.
  • Replace worn or damaged machine parts and carry out basic adjustment, alignment, lubrication, and calibration work where required.
  • Support external contractors, machine suppliers, and service providers during equipment servicing, repair, installation, and maintenance activities.
  • Ensure all machinery maintenance and repair activities comply with safety procedures, EHS requirements, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) practices, and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, machine breakdown reports, preventive maintenance checklists, spare-part records, and equipment service documentation.
  • Monitor machine conditions and identify potential equipment issues before breakdowns occur.
  • Assist in managing critical spare parts, maintenance tools, and consumable items required for machinery maintenance.
  • Support factory audits, safety inspections, equipment inspections, and machinery readiness for internal and external audits.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities to improve machine reliability, reduce downtime, increase equipment efficiency, and support production improvement.
  • Maintain good housekeeping and 5S practices within maintenance work areas and around production machinery.
  • Perform other ad-hoc duties related to machinery, equipment maintenance, and technical support as assigned by the supervisor or management.

Job Requirements

  • Diploma or Technical Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, or other related technical fields.
  • 1–3 years of experience in machinery maintenance, equipment maintenance, or technical support within a manufacturing environment such as electronics, optical, semiconductor, or related industries.
  • Basic knowledge of production machinery, mechanical systems, electrical components, motors, sensors, pneumatic systems, and industrial equipment.
  • Familiar with preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, machine troubleshooting, and equipment breakdown repair.
  • Ability to read basic mechanical drawings, electrical diagrams, equipment manuals, or technical documentation is an added advantage.
  • Basic knowledge of PLC, automation systems, servo motors, inverters, or industrial control systems is an added advantage.
  • Familiarity with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), machine safety requirements, workplace safety practices, and EHS requirements.
  • Hands-on, responsible, and able to respond quickly to machine breakdowns and production equipment issues.
  • Willing to perform physical and hands-on maintenance work in a manufacturing environment.
  • Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Good teamwork and communication skills to coordinate effectively with Production, Engineering, Quality, and other departments.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision and handle multiple maintenance tasks when required.
  • Willing to work overtime, shifts, weekends, or respond to emergency machine breakdowns when necessary.
