Position : Sea Freight Import

Industry: Freight Forwarding

Work Location: Taman Perindustrian Bukit Jelutong, 40150 Shah Alam, Selangor

Work arrangement: Onsite

Employment Type : 6 months contract with PERSOL

Salary: RM3,000 - RM3,500 (based on experience & skills)

What You'll Be Doing

• Coordinate and manage end-to-end Ocean Freight Import shipments (FCL & LCL)
• Monitor vessel arrivals and track shipment milestones to ensure smooth cargo movement
• Handle Arrival Notices from shipping lines, co-loaders, and overseas offices
• Update shipment information accurately in CargoWise (CW1) and other operational systems
• Liaise with shipping lines, customs brokers, transporters, warehouses, overseas offices, and customers to facilitate seamless import operations
• Verify and manage key shipment documentation
• Coordinate container release and cargo delivery arrangements
• Monitor cargo movement from vessel arrival through customs clearance and final delivery
• Ensure compliance with Dangerous Goods (DG) handling procedures and regulatory requirements
• Investigate and resolve shipment discrepancies, delays, damages, or cargo irregularities
• Verify shipment costs, vendor invoices, and operational charges for billing accuracy
• Support invoicing and payment collection activities in accordance with company procedures
• Maintain accurate shipment records and ensure achievement of customer service KPIs

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 1 year of experience in Sea Freight Import Operation, Ocean Import Coordination, Freight Forwarding & Shipping & Logistics Operations
• Knowledge of import documentation, customs clearance, and cargo release procedures
• Experience using CargoWise (CW1) or similar freight forwarding systems is highly advantageous
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and other office applications
• Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced logistics environment
• Customer-oriented with strong attention to detail
