Role Description The Finance Director is a part-time hybrid role based in Singapore, with flexibility for some work from home. This role oversees financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting to support Beyond the Map’s strategic initiatives and events. Key responsibilities include preparing and reviewing financial statements, managing financial reporting cycles, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and internal controls. The Finance Director will analyze financial performance, identify risks and opportunities, and provide clear recommendations to leadership for sustainable growth. The role also involves collaborating with cross-functional teams on financial aspects of programs, vendor contracts, and investments, while maintaining accurate records and efficient financial processes.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Finance, with experience in organizational or event-based financial management.
• Proficiency in Financial Planning and budgeting, including forecasting and scenario analysis.
• Ability to prepare, interpret, and review Financial Statements and related documentation.
• Experience with Financial Reporting, including management reports and compliance-related reporting.
• Advanced Analytical Skills for interpreting data, modeling financial outcomes, and informing strategic decisions.
• Knowledge of relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements, preferably in Singapore.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present financial insights to non-finance audiences.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CA, CFA) are an advantage.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment and manage part-time responsibilities with autonomy and accountability.
