We are looking for a lawyer to join our tax disputes and advisory practice.

Tax law is not abut numbers. It is about making sense of the law, finding the better argument and persuading the tax authorities or Courts.

You do not need experience in tax, accounting or finance. If you have strong fundamentals, we will teach you the rest. What matters more is:

- An LLB and admission as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya

- 0-1 year post-qualification experience

- Strong research, analytical and drafting skills

- Attention to detail and the ability to work as a team

- Questioning assumptions instead of accepting them and curiosity to keep asking why

- Strong written and spoken English

What you will be doing:

- Advising clients on direct and indirect tax matters

- Preparing legal opinions

- Handling tax audits / investigations

- Handling tax objections, reviews and appeals

- Preparing cause papers and submisisons

- Representing clients in tax disputes before the Special Commissioners of Income Tax, Customs Appeal Tribunal, High Court and Court of Appeal

- Working closely with clients, accountants and tax consultants
