Required Skills And Qualifications
- Conduct digital forensic examinations of computers, storage devices, and networks in support of criminal, civil, and administrative investigations
- Identify potential evidentiary data sources and utilize appropriate tools and techniques to collect and preserve digital evidence
- Analyze collected data to identify relevant information and draw conclusions based on findings
- Prepare detailed reports documenting examination methods, results, and conclusions
- Present findings in court or other legal proceedings as needed
- Stay up-to-date on advances in digital forensics technology and methodology
- Maintain chain of custody for all evidence collected
- Adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and policies governing digital evidence collection and analysis
- Handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain the highest level of confidentiality
- Work independently and as part of a team
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously and adjust priorities as needed
- Meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Required Skills And Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field
- 4+ years of experience working with digital forensics tools and techniques
- Experience with multiple operating systems, including Windows, Linux, and macOS
- Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to document findings and present results to non-technical audiences
- Master's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field
- 4+ years of experience working with digital forensics tools and techniques
- Industry certifications, such as the Certified Computer Examiner (CCE) or the GIAC Certified Forensic Analyst (GCFA)
- Experience with virtualization platforms, such as VMware and VirtualBox
- Experience with cloud computing platforms, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure
